Changes on Wrocław’s Main Square: new gastronomy tenants

The high-street market in Wrocław consists of 8 streets and 349 premises, of which 41 were available for rent during our inventory. It is an increase by 11.75 pp. compared to the corresponding period of 2019. The trend noted in Wrocław confirms that changes in high streets affect every city in Poland, while the common factor is still the leading industry among tenants - gastronomy. As much as 144 among all premises analysed in the city were occupied by tenants offering dining options. A new restaurant Niewinni Czarodzieje 2.0 were opened in the cloth halls in Main Square of Wrocław in the former location of Sukiennice 7. A restaurant was opened in May 2020, in a quite difficult period for the industry. The dobro&dobro cafe chain opened its first premises in Wrocław at Kuźnicza 25. At the beginning of 2021, A.Blikle cafe has changed its location to Plac Dominikański and left the 130 sqm premise at Main Square (Rynek 2), which was vacant at the date of inspection. The highest increase in vacancy compared to the same period in 2019 among Wrocław high streets was recorded at Kościuszko Square (increase by 11.54 pp.), mainly due to the exit of 3 bank branches of ING, Santander and PeKaO S.A.
