The city centre of Krakow is dominated by gastronomy, retail and services for tourists. Traditionally, in the gastronomy sector, little rotations among tenants are recorded – in the last months, a Costa Coffee joint disappeared from Szewska Street and on the same premises Lajkonik café will open soon. After a Biedronka discount store’s debut at the Rynek Główny, a new Żabka chain grocery will appear there soon. Santander has already finished re-branding its bank branches at the Rynek Główny. Growth of vacancy in the Old Town was recorded – a few vacant units are at Floriańska St.
The second important touristic destination in Kraków is Kazimierz district. Gastronomy dominates mainly in Szeroka Street and Plac Nowy as well as in a number of small streets in this part of the city (Estery St., Józefa St.). The wide offer of cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs, bars is even further diversified with food trucks, which are located at Judah Square.
