In addition, the report included GfK's assessment of the potential of shopping streets in residential estates in the context of changing consumer trends, based on systematic monitoring, research and analysis, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other events and phenomena in the modern world.
According to our observations, grocery stores, health and beauty services, cafes, restaurants and bistros are dominant in new residential developments. What is surprising, however, is the variety and quality of the offer and the ingenuity of tenants in creating unique retail, service and catering concepts. Despite the presence of chain companies, new housing developments are the domain of individual entrepreneurs.
