Currently there are thirteen objects on the Lublin’s retail market, including two shopping centers and one outlet.
The newest research has shown a drop in vacancy rate in the city. At the end of June this year it was 3,6%, which means that it is lower by 1,6p.p. compared to December 2016. This is due to a significant reduction in the number of vacant spaces in Tarasy Zamkowe, an attractive center close to the old town. It is worth mentioning that the new tenant of this shopping center is Biedronka, which took over the space after Alma supermarket.
The vacancy rate also fell in Outlet Center Lublin - the only one outlet center in Lubelskie Voivodhip. This was mainly due to the newly gained tenants from the fashion and sport sector. The two largest shopping centers in Lublin – Atrium Felicity and Galeria Olimp, are characterized by the most diversified offer, especially in the entertainment category. We can find there a cinema, a fitness center and a children’s playground. Additionally, in May this year Galeria Olimp gained a new tenant Carrefour Market – a well-known French supermarket chain. Three objects in Lublin are fully commercialized – E.Leclerc Turystyczna, Galeria Zana and Park Handlowy Krasnicka. The highest vacancy rate was observed in Park Handlowy Tatra. This is due to the closure of Praktiker, which occupied a significant area of the building.
